According to the American Counseling Association, Counseling is defined as a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.

Counseling involves helping people make changes in the way that they think, feel, and act. During the counseling process the therapist works with the client in a supportive, non-judgmental way to help the client to tell his or her story.  The therapist will help the client to set practical goals and develop strategies to accomplish set objectives.

Some clients are able to meet their goals in a small amount of time, for others the process takes longer. The needed number of sessions are based on individual needs and will be determined by the client and therapist.

At TLC Services, we provide professional counseling services via telephone, webcam, or chat. Counseling services are fifty minutes in length and are provided to an individual or couple.
